Marketing and advertising works in layers. In the auto business, what drives a customer is not one channel, but multiple.
There are 24 points of attribution to a sale, 19 are digital, but the way analytics interpret traffic, or our sales people source, we only give the last click or the last thought credit.
However, what if you did not invest in other channels along the path that brought your customer in? What if you reviewed the analytics and shifted your spend to the bottom of the funnel and had limited presence at the top? Would you have still gotten the sale? Would that lead have found its way into your CRM?
